Terms of use
Last updated: [date]
These terms apply when you use a TapKue card, the TapKue website or your account.
The service
TapKue sells cards and runs a web platform. A TapKue card opens a page or link that its owner chooses.
The service is provided by [legal entity name], trade licence [licence number], at [address].
Accounts
- You sign in with your email address. Keep your email account safe.
- You claim a card once, with the code that comes with it. Keep the code private until you have claimed the card.
- Give us true details. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Each card has one owner. [Rules for passing a card to someone else.]
Acceptable use
Use TapKue only for lawful purposes. Do not:
- send people to content that is illegal, harmful or misleading, or that breaks someone else's rights;
- use a card or page to collect data in a way the law does not allow;
- guess claim codes or try to get into accounts that are not yours;
- overload or disrupt the service.
We may switch off a card or close an account that breaks these rules. [Notice and appeal process.]
Free and Business plans
Every card works forever on the Free plan. The Business plan adds more tools. The tools and prices are on the Pricing page.
We may change the plans and their prices. [Notice for price changes.] [VAT on plan prices.]
Free trial
Every card comes with a free trial of the Business plan. The trial starts when you claim a card. You do not need to enter payment details to start it. [Trial rules when you own several cards.]
When the trial ends, your card moves to the Free plan unless you subscribe to Business.
Billing and cancellation
- Stripe takes payments for the Business plan, monthly or yearly.
- You can cancel any time. [When a cancellation takes effect.]
- [Refund policy for plan payments.]
- [Taxes and invoices.]
Cards
A TapKue card is a physical card with a printed QR code. [Warranty terms.]
[Delivery and returns terms, to be set out when the TapKue store opens.]
[Statement on which phones work by tapping.]
Your pages and links
You own what you put on your pages. You give us permission to store it and to show it to people who tap your card. You are responsible for it, and for the links you add.
We do not control the websites your card opens, such as Google, WhatsApp or the site that hosts your menu.
Availability and changes
We work to keep TapKue running, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may change or stop parts of the service. [Notice before major changes.]
Liability
[Limits on our liability, to be written by legal review.]
Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law does not allow us to limit.
Ending your account
You can stop using TapKue at any time. [How to delete your account.]
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by [governing law: UAE, to be confirmed]. Disputes go to [governing venue].
Changes to these terms
We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. [Notice period for changes.]
